If you’ve got an external USB HDD that goes to sleep in a couple of mins of inactivity and for some games you play off that HDD you get the “unable to read disc” error because of this, there’s fix for you.

• Download Dashlaunch 2.28 or later (Google for it) and install/update following THIS tutorial.
• Once installed, look for the launch.ini file on your HDD and add the following two command lines (without 1 or 2):

1. hddalive = true
2. hddtimer = 210 (where this number represents the seconds interval at which your HDD will be polled with random 16 bytes of data in a text file.

• Save your launch.ini file. (CTRL+S in Windows).
• Open your HDD and create a .txt file on it named alive.txt

This is it. Now you’ll see that your HDD won’t spin down anymore and you’ll notice strange characters, letters and numbers being written on it at the interval you’ve setup in the alive.txt file on your external HDD.

Rockstar Games just released the first trailer for the upcoming GTA V game. Grand Theft Auto V is living large back in the beautiful state of San Andreas.  The game still doesn’t have a release date but don’t expect it this year, however, stay tuned for more information as it becomes available! Most of you might already know what Dropbox is but for those who do not, Dropbox it’s the file synchronization/backup service that you have been thinking/dreaming about. The most basic use of dropbox would have you install the Dropbox client on 2 computers and the contents of your Dropbox folder would synchronize automatically between them. No need to remember to upload or download the latest copy. No forgetting your thumbdrive, or forgetting to burn that file to CD/DVD. The latest version of your file will be on any computer attached to your account, automatically.

Most of you already know what this problem is about so I will not go into details but here’s a trick that might help you solve the “home button problem” on your iPhone 4. The trick is 100% safe and it should work for you too. Here it is:

• Unlock your iDevice, open an application and press and hold the Lock/Power button until the Turn of your phone slider show’s up.
• Release the Lock button and gently press the Home button and hold it pressed for 5-10 seconds until the Springboard shows up.

This should re-calibrate your home button and you should have it working again.
